CATWOMAN!
(posted 4/12/04)

To round out this portfolio with some recognizable superhero work, Steve drew these samples in March '04.

Here we feature four pages in three stages of completion: pencils, inks and colors.

These 4 pages were drawn from a script from Catwoman issue #29, published by DC Comics. The script was by Ed Brubaker and the actual printed issue features art by Paul Gulacy. It's interesting to compare the different ways Steve & Paul handled the same pages. These are pages 17, 18, 21 and 22.

Even before he began his career on staff at Marvel Comics in 1985, Steve's primary interest has been drawing comics. In the early '90s he penciled titles such as Excalibur, Power Pack, Clive Barker's Hellraiser, Red Sonja and others. More recently, Steve has concentrated on some of his own creations. Here we see pages from his creator-owned Weasel Guy, published by Image Comics and from his self-published Comiculture anthology. Steve enjoys drawing stories of all genres and working in diverse drawing styles.
